Dr. Shelby Juell

In Dr. Juell’s own words, “I have always wanted to be a vet since I could talk! I’ve always had the passion and life goal to help both animals and people when they need it most.” Originally from Minnesota, Dr. Juell moved to New York for veterinary school at Long Island University. She then moved back west to Michigan to further her education and loved it so much she decided to put down roots here as a clinician.

Along with birding, yoga, and crochet, an orange medium-haired kitty named Boyd keeps her busy – like many oranges, Boyd is not known for his intelligence and gets himself into all kinds of predicaments!

Dr. Juell’s best advice is “You know your pet best!” She goes on to explain, “If something is off, don’t hesitate to let your vet know!” Your observations and the clues you pick up are just as important as our observations and tests to filling in the complete picture on your pet’s health.
